Proposals: from a brief to a priced proposal your client can choose from

The hardest part of a proposal is the blank page. You know the job: three rooms, a full renovation, procurement included. Turning that into scope, phases and pricing has meant an evening you'd rather spend designing.

Start a new proposal and choose Blank, Use a template, or Generate with AI. Type the brief, or dictate it, and Tailor writes a full draft with a title, sections and priced line items. There's no form to fill in first: you land straight in the builder, with every section in a rail you can drag to reorder, and ready-made sections to add: Project intro, Scope, Pricing, Optional add-ons, Packages, Project phases, Payment schedule, Images & inspiration and Terms.

Packages let clients choose. Offer two to four options, mark one Recommended, and list what's included in each. On the client's side, the chosen package is drawn in your brand color and its price joins the total. Until they choose, the accept card asks them to pick a package, so nobody accepts a proposal without saying which one. The chosen package then carries through to the agreement and the invoice.

Sending is clearer, with Send and Resend flows and a confirmation screen. If a client approves by phone or in person, Mark as approved records it, including which package they chose.

Approval also starts your billing. Tailor turns the payment schedule you wrote into draft invoices, one per milestone ("Milestone 2 of 4 (25%)"), reconciled to the approved fee. They're drafts, so you review them before anything is sent, and an unclear schedule asks you to look rather than guessing. On the agreement side, you can regenerate an agreement you deleted, or upload a signed PDF original from an off-platform signing and keep it with the project.
