Getting started

How quickly can I get up and running?

Most studios are productive within an hour. Sign up, create a project, import a few products by URL or the Clipper extension, and you can render or pitch the same day. Nothing to install. Tailor runs in your browser.

How do I import my first products?

Paste any retailer URL or use the Tailor Clipper browser extension. Vision AI extracts photos, dimensions, materials, and pricing, removes the background, and adds the product to your firm library automatically.

How do I render my first room?

Create a project, then add a few products or a reference image to give the AI something to work with. Open the Visualize tab on that project, pick a style, and click Render. If you have a floor plan loaded, you can also kick off a render directly from inside the floor plan design tool. Most photoreal renders land in under a minute, and you can re-roll or swap styles on the same room without re-selecting products.

Coming from Studio Designer, Houzz Pro, or Asana?

You can bring structured .xlsx schedules into Tailor, including Programa-style exports. For a PDF or an export from another tool, our team can help you prepare a supported workbook. Start with one schedule and review the products before confirming your import.

Platform capabilities

What can Tailor's AI actually do?

Two things at once. First, focused tools. Photoreal room rendering in any style, Vision AI product sourcing from any retailer URL, instant background removal, automatic presentation generation, and proposal/agreement drafting. Second, an agentic AI Chat that runs your studio's busywork in plain English: 'create a client for the Sutton project,' 'draft a proposal for the kitchen reno,' or 'find me three brass sconces under $400'. The agents create clients, find products, draft documents, send vendor emails, and update projects on your behalf. Every capability is tuned for interior workflows, not generic chat.

Which design styles can Tailor render?

Modern, Scandinavian, Industrial, Mid-Century, Coastal, Minimalist, Traditional, Japandi. Toggle styles on the same room without re-selecting products. Agency plans support custom firm-trained style profiles so renders always look like your studio.

Does Tailor handle floor plans, presentations, and pool design?

Yes. Upload a floor plan PDF and Tailor reads dimensions and helps you place furniture. Presentations are generated from selected products and organized by room. Pool design has its own dedicated workspace for hardscape, materials, and construction.

Can I create proposals, agreements, and invoices?

All built in. Send proposals, collect e-signatures on agreements, issue purchase orders, and bill clients via Stripe Connect. Everything stays linked to the project, with no copy-paste between tools.

Day-to-day workflow

How do I source and organize products across projects?

Every product you clip lands in your firm library, tagged by retailer, style, and project. Search across every project you've ever run, share libraries with teammates, and reuse pieces without re-importing.

How does procurement work?

Turn selected items into purchase orders with one click. Vendors get a dedicated acknowledgement portal, accept payments through Stripe Connect, and project teams see live status (acknowledged, shipped, delivered) instead of chasing email threads.

How do clients approve selections and pay invoices?

Through your white-labeled client portal. Clients view mood boards, approve line items, leave feedback, and pay invoices in one branded link. No PDFs to email back and forth, no separate apps to onboard them into.

How does the team stay on the same page?

Built-in project chat with per-channel AI assistants, tasks tied to rooms and products, and an activity feed showing who did what when. Most studios drop Slack and Notion for project work within a few weeks.

Plans & AI credits

How does pricing work?

Choose Solo, Studio, or Agency based on your practice and team size. Monthly and yearly billing are available. The pricing page shows current rates, included features, and AI credit allowances; choose your plan and seats before creating your account.

What are AI credits and how do they work?

AI credits power actions such as room visualizations, product imports, presentations, and video creation. Every plan includes a credit allowance. Usage varies by tool and model, so some actions use more credits than others. See the pricing page for current allowances and examples of what your credits can do.

What happens if I run out of credits?

AI actions (renders, presentations, product imports, etc.) pause until your next billing cycle. Or you can buy a one-time top-up of credits at any time from settings. Everything non-AI keeps running: projects, procurement, invoicing, the client portal, and your existing libraries are unaffected.

Can I cancel or change plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from settings at any time. You keep full access through the end of the current billing period, and your data (projects, libraries, renders, documents) stays exportable indefinitely.

Teams, clients & security

How do I invite my team and assign roles?

Invite by email from settings. Roles include Principal (full access), Designer (project work), and Admin (billing and members). Per-project permissions and shared asset libraries are available on Studio and Agency plans.

Is the client portal white-labeled?

Yes. The portal uses your firm's name, colors, and logo. The client never sees Tailor's brand. Agency plans can host the portal on your own subdomain.

Who owns my data and AI-generated renders?

You do. 100%. Relivo, Inc. doesn't claim ownership over your projects, product libraries, or generated images, and we never use private firm data to train global models. Export everything any time.

Is Tailor SOC 2 certified?

Not yet — we run an internal security program aligned with the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria and are actively pursuing SOC 2 Type II attestation. Already in place: per-firm data isolation via Postgres Row-Level Security, encryption at rest and in transit, and audited access logs. Enterprise customers can request our security questionnaire, subprocessor list, and DPA at security@tailor.design.
